Alfalfa Seeds, the new black ;)

I love alfalfa seeds. I picked some up today from Old Fashion Foods to soak and sprout. At $2.38 for 200 grams (one and one-half cups), I can make a whole lotta sprouts for just a few cents a batch. That's a lot of nutrition as these tiny seeds pack a lot of punch. Magnesium, potassium, Vitamin K and choline are a few of the benefits.

Curiosity got the best of me when they were soaking and I got an aroma of "nuttiness" from the seeds. I tasted them straight away. Wow. The flavor packed into these tiny seeds is quite something. A really tasty, nutty flavor making them a great addition to smoothies, sprinkled a top salads and added to salad dressings.

I highly recommend picking some up and sprouting your own, or simply soaking them, to reactivate the enzymes and enjoying in the dishes as mentioned above.

A new love and whole lot of energy in one little seed. A true gem of a find today. Thank you Mother Nature.

Enjoy a great day with sprouts and seeds.
Kindest, Corinne
