it's not what you do

it's how you do it.

Calgary instructor Kim Wiebe adheres to this philosophy in her life and as a teacher of yoga. Whether I see Kim in the classroom or at the market, she always carries the same sophisticated, centered and focused presence. I extremely admire this approach to life and believe that we can live our maximum potential in every moment, regardless of what it is we are doing. By simply following a few "how you do it" principles, open yourself up to a new practice in being the best you can be.

First, always take the time to breath fully through every activity in your life. Breath connects us to the present, brings stillness to the mind and sharply focuses our attention. Second, know that whatever activity you are engaged in you are serving a greater purpose. With this focus in mind, there is an automatic "shift" in awareness of our actions. Third, engage with those around you. It is our connection with each other that solidifes the very ground upon which we walk.

And finally, enjoy. Enjoy life like you are seeing and experiencing it for the first time.
