Power Bites

Creates: twelve, 1" bites or six, 3" bars
Prep Time: 5-6 minutes
A super source of amino acids (building blocks for protein), essential fatty acids, carbohydrates, fiber and overall goodness. Perfect for a snack, pre-workout compliment or post workout-compliment. Superfoods get the thumbs up on this one.

1 c dates
1 T hemp protein powder
1 t spirulina, chlorella or wheat grass powder (or your favorite greens powder concentrate)
1 T flax seed, ground
1 T hempseed oil
1 T pumpkin seeds, medium fine ground

Blend all but pumpkin seeds together in food processor. Press into a glass storage container approximately 5" x 3" x 1" and slice into 1" bites or 3" bars if preferred. Remove from container and roll into ground pumpkin seeds, coating well. Store in airtight container in refrigerator or freezer.

Alternatively, blend pumpkin seeds into mixture rather than using as a coating.

These bites freeze well as they keep their chewiness and are perfect for individually wrapping for on the go and travel.
