in the air tonight

the smell of rain tickles my nose. the warm air wraps around me as i walk, gazing towards the dramatic night sky. the calm before the storm.

reminds me of childhood. dad would set out lawn chairs in the garage. there we'd sit and watch the rain fall and the lightning dance across the sky. the smell of summer storms. the sound of the rain pellets as they fell against the pavement of the driveway.
