Culture of Yes

Three tiny words. One profound statement.

Today I had the pleasure of having lunch with Colin Jackson, President & CEO of the EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts. While our lunch discussion pertained to the future and vision of the centre, Colin shared his views on what makes for a creative organization. When I heard the words "culture of yes", I instantly knew that in joining their team, I had become part of something quite amazing.

A journey. Towards an environment in which ideas are embraced and explored. Uniquness is celebrated. Abundance is appreciated. Community is built around individuals that put their hearts into everything they do.

And people like me are allowed to bring mini trampolines into work.

Near the end of our conversation, Colin asked me to give a presentation on my Burning Man experience at the next staff meeting.

I, of course, said yes.
